My focus is to help you achieve your goals on the guitar, and / or piano.

With each individual student, I offer exercises, songs and techniques to practice that will help you to immediately begin seeing positive results. I believe that anyone can play the piano / guitar well and take their next step in music. It makes a big difference if you have the right teacher to help you learn the music you love. Most people that have attained proficiency on the piano / guitar had someone that took the time to guide them along their way. Much of what is thought of as difficult to play or understand in music is only mysterious until it is explained and practiced.

Teaching Bio:

Brent has been teaching professionally since 2008/09. He has taught adults and children of all experience levels in both the private lesson format and in class room settings, including as a staff member & performer in various concerts, functions and settings

Brent began learning the piano at age 8, under the locally renowned piano teacher/player JS Lim, completing his classical piano syllabus under the A.B.R.S.M board at the age of 18. Later on he would branch out into the guitar in his late teen years under the tutelage of the president of the AS Classical Guitar Club-KP Chan. Equally fluent in both instruments, he has performed in various functions, concerts and private events over the years. With his classical roots, he is currently venturing and playing more of jazz piano stuff ala Keith Jarrett, Chic Corea, Bill Evans & Tommy Emmanuel style fingerstyle guitar, his musical journey quest continues. 27 this year, he is currently a full-time teacher, performer, musician, and does work on compositions and recordings.

As Brent's educational and experience indicate, he is a gifted musician, composer and innovator of music composition & arrangement.
